Union Health Minister and Chairman of WHO executive board, Dr. Harsh Vardhan replied to former PM of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh in response to a letter, he wrote to PM Modi suggesting some changes in vaccination drive by giving more power to state for decision making.
Replying to MMS, Dr. Harsh vardhan said, “History shall be kinder to you Dr Manmohan Singh ji if your offer of ‘constructive cooperation’ and valuable advice was followed by your INC leaders as well in such extraordinary times!”
In his letter to former PM, Dr. Harshvardhan accused the INC leaders for spreading false news regarding the efficacy of vaccines. He even said that Congress leaders shamed the vaccine in public but took their doses privately and they never uttered a single word of gratitude towards the scientist and doctors who worked day and night for the success of vaccines during the time of crisis.
The former PM of India Dr Manmohan Singh on Sunday wrote a letter to PM Modi suggesting the five points to manage the COVID-19 effectively in this tough times. The letter emphasized on ramping up the vaccination efforts.
Defending the former PM of India, Congress veteran and the CM of Rajasthan, Mr. Ashok Gehlot tweeted, “The former PM Dr. Manmohan Singh wrote a letter to the Prime Minister offering constructive suggestions to the Central govt regarding vaccine in public interest. There was no criticism of the Govt. in his letter. It is unfortunate and condemnable on the part of the union Health minister to have written a politically motivated reply- letter to the former Prime Minister.”
He further added, “Any suggestion given by any person or political party to the Central govt, is treated as criticism and is not tolerated. It seems they know they have committed grave mistakes and are guilt-ridden.”
