BJP attacks Congress over toolkit

Sambit Patra, the national spokesperson of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) hits out at Congress party over an alleged ‘toolkit’. The BJP accused the Congress of using the COVID-19 pandemic to tarnish the image of country and PM Narendra Modi.

Sambit Patra posted a document of the Congress research department on Twitter and called it a ‘toolkit’. The document consists of numerous plans to create a fake narrative over the mismanagement of pandemic and Central Vista project.

Citing the toolkit, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra twetted, “Friends look at the #CongressToolKit in extending help to the needy during the Pandemic! More of a PR exercise with the help of “Friendly Journalists” & “Influencers” than a soulful endeavour.”

“Disgusting to say the least ..Rahul Gandhi wanting to use this opportunity of Pandemic to destroy the image of PM Modi. Congress workers instructed to call the mutant strain as “Modi strain” No stone left unturned to scar the name of India with the help of Foreign Journalists!!” Sambit Patra wrote on Twitter.

During digital press conference on the alleged toolkit, Mr. Patra said that the Congress leaders are trying to score political points in these tough times. Congress workers are instructed to call the mutant strain as Indian strain or ‘Modi Strain.’

The WHO has stated that the new strain found in India would not be called Indian strain, but the Congress is trying hard to tarnish the image of India with the help of some friendly foreign journalists by calling the new strain as ‘Modi strain’, Mr. Patra said.

Several other BJP leaders also hit out at Congress over the alleged toolkit. BJP’s party president JP Nadda tweeted, “Dividing society and spewing venom against others….Congress is a master at this. India is seeing Congress’ antics, while the nation is fighting COVID-19. I would urge Congress to go beyond ’Toolkit Models’ and do something constructive.”

Congress Denies Toolkit Allegations

Congress party refuted the allegations saying that the BJP is using “morphed document” and attributing it to the Congress party. The party said that it would file an FIR against the BJP’s national spokesperson Sambit Patra and BJP’s party president JP Nadda for propagating the ‘fake toolkit’ by attributing it with research department of AICC.

Meanwhile, the IYC has denied the allegations of BJP and called the document ‘fake’ and ‘morphed’.
